Service

The CSES PTA Service Committee works with students, teachers, and the CSES community to broaden children’s understanding of community needs, both locally and globally, by assisting with various projects throughout the year.

Winter Service Project:

Dolphins Helping Others – Feb. 19, 6-8pm.   The winter evening service project will be making fleece blankets for the Ronald McDonald House to distribute to families in need of comfort.  This is a project near and dear to Mrs. Quillin (3rd grade teacher) and her family.  Mrs. Quillin will be leading the fleece blanket making alongside her oldest daughter, Laura, a former CSES Dolphin who is currently a student at Atlee High. All materials will be provided for participants of all ages.  The PTA will be serving pizza to service project participants!  Save the date and watch for more details to come.

Fall Service Project:

Coats For Kids – CSES PTA collected over 200 coats of all sizes in all condition to donate to those in need.  The donations began at the annual PTA Trunk Or Treat event and collection continued until Puritan Cleaners picked up the coats five days later.  Puritan Cleaners cleans, repairs and distributes the coats to those in need in the greater Richmond area.
